CFBPF
Who Are We?
The Cancer Free Blockchain NGO is an initiative by a group of young, innovative minds with a revolutionary approach to healthcare technology. We believe that blockchain technology brings speed, efficiency, and transparency to health systems, driving impactful change.
Our goal is to position Kenya on the global stage by tapping into blockchain innovations and investment opportunities, pushing the boundaries of healthcare through secure and decentralized solutions.
We are a registered NGO under the non-governmental organization act (CAP19) OF 1990 in Kenya officially recognized by the Ministry of interior and coordination of national government registration No. OP.218/051/21-434/125529
The Cancer Free Blockchain Powered Foundation envisions a decentralized data portal, enhanced by adopting blockchain technology in Kenya, to streamline health-related activities such as diagnosis, treatment, insurance claims, and diagnostic services like MRI and CT scans.
By integrating blockchain and smart contract execution, patient data, including medical imagery, will be securely stored and instantly accessible to authorized parties at any time. This seamless, automated process will replace fragmented data handling in Kenyan health centers, improving speed and efficiency. It will save time, money, and lives, reduce hospital queues, eliminate consultation fees, and create a smooth, efficient flow of healthcare services across Kenya.
Blockchain
What is blockchain in
Healthcare
Blockchain in healthcare refers to the application of blockchain technology to improve the management, security, and accessibility of medical data. Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed ledger that records transactions in a secure, transparent, and immutable way. In the healthcare sector, it can be used to securely store and share patient records, ensure data integrity, streamline administrative processes, and enhance patient outcomes.
For developing countries, embracing global technological revolutions is crucial for advancing in the global economy. By positioning themselves as pioneers in emerging technologies, such as blockchain, these nations can unlock new opportunities and drive economic growth. This proactive approach ensures not only accelerated development but also holistic growth, creating a more inclusive and prosperous economic environment. Embracing technology positions developing countries as leaders, paving the way for sustained advancement and global recognition.
The Challenge
Causes of Cancer-Related Deaths in Kenya
Many cancers in Kenya are identified at advanced stages due to limited screening programs and a lack of public awareness. Patients often only seek help when symptoms become severe, significantly reducing treatment success rates.
Medical records are often fragmented across various health facilities, making it difficult for healthcare providers to access complete patient histories. This fragmentation leads to delays in diagnosis and treatment, negatively affecting patient care.
Incomplete or inaccessible medical histories due to fragmented data hinder doctors ability to make informed decisions. This can result in misdiagnosis, unnecessary tests, or delays in initiating appropriate treatment.
The presence of counterfeit or substandard drugs in the market undermines the effectiveness of cancer treatments. Patients receiving such medications may experience worsened conditions or adverse effects, complicating their treatment and increasing mortality risk.
The high costs of cancer treatment, including medications, chemotherapy, and surgeries, are often unaffordable for many Kenyans. This financial burden can lead to patients forgoing or discontinuing treatment, worsening their
condition.
Unhealthy dietary practices, such as high consumption of processed foods and low intake of fruits and vegetables, contribute to increased cancer risk. Limited public knowledge about cancer prevention through diet exacerbates the problem.
A shortage of oncologists and specialized cancer treatment facilities, especially in rural areas, forces patients to travel long distances for care. This delay in receiving treatment can negatively impact their health outcomes.
Many people lack awareness about cancer symptoms, risk factors, and the importance of early screening. This results in late diagnoses, where treatment options are often less effective.
Many health facilities are equipped with insufficient diagnostic tools such as MRI and CT scanners. This infrastructure deficit leads to delays in diagnosing and treating cancer, negatively affecting patient outcomes.

Blockchain Health
Complex
The Blockchain Health Complex is envisioned as a pioneering healthcare facility dedicated to revolutionizing cancer treatment and overall health management. It aims to harness the power of emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence to enhance patient care, streamline operations, and provide comprehensive medical services. The complex also aligns with the government’s vision of affordable healthcare, working to make quality medical services accessible to all Kenyans.
To support this ambitious initiative, we intend to raise approximately $4.5 million through dedicated, vested local and global fundraising efforts over a period of 2 years. This funding will be crucial for establishing the facility, integrating advanced technologies, and ensuring that the Blockchain Health Complex can deliver on its promise of transformative healthcare.
